Right Ink has some news to share! The company’s founder, Jack Riis, has taken the decision to change tack and embark on his dream career as a landscape gardener. He has passed on the baton to Guillaume Deneufbourg in July 2019. He currently fulfils the role of HR Manager and Strategy consultant. “Guillaume had all the qualities required to take Right Ink as far and as high as possible,” Jacob was more than happy to explain. There’s no doubt that the former director seems delighted with the transition: “Guillaume was the perfect candidate for this challenge”.
Who is Guillaume Deneufbourg?
He’s an unstoppable all-rounder! Even though he’s not yet 40, he has some impressive translation work under his belt, and he never seems to sit still! His jam-packed career would already put many pensioners to shame. An archetypal graduate of the Faculty of Translation and Interpretation (FTI-EII) at the University of Mons, Guillaume has a Master’s in Translation as well as a Master’s in language sciences under his belt.
Having worked as a translator since 2002, to date he has published a dozen or so translations and won a number of prizes, including the “Révélation” award from the Société des Gens de lettres (Paris) in 2017 and first prize in the St. Jerome Translation Contest, organised by the United Nations, in 2019.
In 2011, Guillaume set up Creativewords, an agency providing translations into French and Dutch for large companies, including in particular several based in Silicon Valley. This unassuming entrepreneur is proud of the project, as he explains: “I have always cared about doing a job well, making it a point of honour to treat my colleagues equally, just as they deserve”.
With such a lot on his plate, it’s a miracle that this translator also has two children, as well as finding time to be a keen photographer and regular runner. With a drone licence to his name, he has also completed 5 marathons. They include the legendary London (2017), Berlin (2018) and New York (2019) marathons … Guillaume is someone who relishes a challenge!
So even with all these strings to his bow, and with plenty of energy left in the tank, he decided to take over the management of Right Ink. “Keen to offer new ideas, whilst also ensuring the company’s continuity,” he promises.
A commitment for the future
By putting its trust into its new director, Right Ink hopes to continue to prosper for many years to come. Committed to putting people at the heart of his management approach, above all Guillaume is keen to listen to his team: “My goal is to incorporate a kind of collaborative management strategy, making the most of the company’s assets, with a decidedly human approach”.
We wish him all the luck in the world!
